  Days and times of operation?

 Ameritax Systems is open 7-days a week, from 1pm-7pm on weekdays, 10am - 7pm on Saturdays and 1pm - 6pm on Sundays during the peak tax season period from Jan to Apr.  During the off-peak period from May to Dec, we will be available by appointment only.  We remind you to leave a detailed message including the purpose of your call and your phone number.  We will return your call as soon as possible.

  How long does it take to complete my tax returns?

 Simple tax returns (Form 1040EZ) may take an hour or so to complete.  Other types of returns would depend on how complex they are.

  How long does it take to receive my tax refunds?

Per the 2016 IRS refund guidelines, it could take up to 21 days for you to receive your refunds provided the Federal tax returns were electronically filed. Returns filed by mail take longer to process thereby extending the time for the refunds to be sent. The length of time it takes to receive your State refunds varies.  Check out the "Helpful Links" on our site to get the current status of your refunds.

  Do you offer Rapid Anticipation Loan (RAL)?

No.  As the name implies, this is an advance issued by the bank in the form of a loan collaterized by the tax refund that is due you but at a high interest rate . We do not recommend this to our clients.

What do I need to know about the Health Care Act?

Per the IRS, the   requires you and each member of your family to have qualifying health insurance (called minimum essential coverage), have an exemption, or make a shared responsibility payment when you file your federal income tax return.
